The Ideas Quarter is home to StartSpace, a new service enabled by the Christine Christian Foundation. This dedicated coworking space specifically for early-stage startups and small businesses seats 50 (with physical distancing measures) and provides inspiration, information and practical guidance for new businesses.

StartSpace supports and nurtures Victoria’s next generation of entrepreneurs, innovators, creators and leaders through new dedicated spaces, programs, services and technology. About the Ideas Quarter

The Ideas Quarter opened in 2020 as part of the Library's Vision 2020 redevelopment project.

Part of the Quad, this north-west courtyard space previously housed the Library's Family History and Newspapers Reading Room.
